CCPS Mandates Masks for Employees/Visitors Amid Rising COVID-19 Cases

Clayton County Public Schools will implement a face mask/covering mandate for all employees and campus/facility visitors effective Monday, July 25, 2022. This proactive step is being taken in an effort to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus within our district and limit the potential for instructional disruption.

“As positive COVID-19 cases continue to rise throughout the state and nation, we must take necessary steps to ensure employees and students are afforded a safe learning and work environment,” said Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, Superintendent/CEO of Schools. “This is a necessary step to protect all that enter our schools and facilities.”

Please be advised this mask mandate does not apply to students in keeping with the “Unmask Georgia Students Law (Senate Bill 514). Parents/guardians still have the option to send children to CCPS schools with face coverings if they feel that is the best course of action to protect their health.
