2024-2025 Points of Pride

We are full of cougar pride with all the achievements we have made the goals we have reached during the 2024/2025 school year. Thank you parents, students, and families for all you have done and continue to do. 

Basketball Team: The East Clayton Elementary family is very proud of our basketball team. This year Coach Davis and Coach Kenny and the ECE Cougars became the 2024/2025 Clayton County Elementary Basketball Champions.

Coach Davis and Coach Kenny worked with the students to not only sharpen their basketball skills, but also their social skills. They learned to work as a team and problem-solve.

Chorus: Our students did a fantastic job today at LGPE! The Large Group Performance Evaluation has three judges that listen and evaluate the performance real time. The judges grade the chorus in several categories and give an overall rating based on the average of those categories. LGPE has a rating system from 1-5. Ratings are as follows. 

1 - Superior

2 - Excellent

3 - Good

4 - Fair

5 - Poor

The judges overall ratings were as follows: 2, 1, 1, for an overall rating of 1!!!! Our students are a SUPERIOR ELEMENTARY CHORUS!!!

Students in the East Clayton chorus benefit in many ways. With Mr. Temples guidance, the members improve their memory and focus, enhance their language and literacy skills, as well as boost creativity and problem-solving, Their superior performance evaluation instills a sense of pride and confidence.

Winter Wonderland Performance: On December 14, 2024, the East Clayton Chorus, the Drama Club, and the Dance troupe, and the Cheerleaders, came together to put on a fantastic show. The Winter Wonderland Performance  showcased an amazing array of talent that resides within the ECE family.

Literacy Night: 

On Oct 24, 2024, the parents, teachers, students, and staff of East Clayton Elementary came together for Literacy Night. The evening started with encouraging words from Dr. Watson, the proud principal of East Clayton. Afterwards, the students and parents met with their teachers to discuss the curriculum and all the engaging activities that lie ahead. Parents learned how goals are being set to foster and monitor academic growth and success. Parents and students were also able to participate in fun learning activities throughout the building.
